Background and Insights
Libero is best selling diaper brand in Sweden and leading brand in the Nordics. Sustainability is a big part of their core values, with tough climate targets for their future businesses. Parents today want products that are good for their baby as well as the planet. The goal is to offer sustainable, innovative solutions so that parents can feel that they are doing the best they can for the world in which their babies will grow

Strategy and Design
To strengthen their position as a sustainable brand Libero launched a more sustainable semi-washable diaper next to their current assortments. The hybrid diaper is a part of their premium segment, Touch, which offers high quality diapers targeting parents that do not want to compromise on giving the best to their babies. The brand identity for the Hybrid Diaper had to position Libero as the leading diaper brand in sustainability and present the product as a truly environmentally friendly diaper with highest focus on quality and safety for baby’s well-being. As the concept of a hybrid diaper with reusable textile shell and disposable inserts is fairly new to the market, the packaging had to be intuitively eco-friendly and at the same time in an uncomplicated way educate the consumer how to use this new diaper.

The visual language focus on traditionally “green” features with muted natural colors and materials. The realistic and joyous images that are so characteristic for Libero diapers are an important part of the Hybrid Diaper design as well. Simplistic icons teaches the consumer both how to use the diaper and connects the box and the bag with each other.
 
Keeping the most important brand assets,
the brushstroke holding device and the iconic Libero logo, makes the Touch Hybrid Diaper fit well in the Libero Family but at the same time stand out as the most sustainable choice. The Hybrid Diaper brand strengthens Libero’s portfolio with a diaper that has
